Cello Bows
We have four different levels of student bows. They start as low as $200 for our basic Brazilwood bow and range up to $1,800 for a gold mounted Pernambuco bow.
Francois Mouton Pernambuco
These are our finest quality student bows made with outstanding Pernambuco and unyielding quality control. The finest ebony is used for the fully mounted frogs with
rings & eyes.
The buttons are divided ebony and the tips are of bone. The gold mounted Francois Moutons have pearl dots on the facets of their divided buttons. Silver or faux whalebone windings are available and compliment the natural density of each bow.

Wilhelm Schuster Pernambuco
These are better quality bows featuring higher quality Pernambuco and stricter quality control than the Kramer's. The fully lined ebony frogs have a ring & eye on each side.
The buttons are divided with ebony. The tips are either nickel or silver to match the frog and button. For a small extra charge the silver models are available with silver & ebony buttons featuring pearl dots on each facet. They’re available round or octagonal. Silver or faux whalebone windings compliment the natural density of each bow.

Kramer Pernambuco
Fine quality, well-seasoned, strong Pernambuco is used to make each of these bows.
They’re put through rigorous quality control inspections throughout their production to ensure they’re straight and will stay straight. The fully mounted ebony frogs have an eye
on the side. The buttons are divided with ebony and the tips are bone. Silver or faux whalebone windings compliment the natural density of each bow. Kramer Pernambuco bows are available with nickel or silver mounts and fractional sizes (4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8). They’re available round or octagonal.

Kramer Brazilwood
This is our most economical line of bows. The sticks are made of high quality Brazilwood with a bone tip. Each bow is inspected and re-inspected to ensure straightness. The ebony & nickel frogs are fully mounted (usually with a ring & eye). The buttons are divided nickel with ebony. These bows are strong and straight but reasonably priced making them a perfect choice for outfits. Violin and cello bows are available in fractional sizes
(4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8).
